Plain Text was founded by Tom Gifford in 2025. Originally from the midlands, Tom studied art in Bristol back in the 90s when trip-hop was still very much a thing (ask your grandparents). He then made his way into design and advertising, with a big helping of photography on the side.

Plain Text is heavily influenced by skate culture, hip-hop, graphic design and an overwhelming passion for type and the written word.
