Plain Text was founded by Tom Gifford in 2025. Originally from the midlands, Tom studied art in Bristol back in the 90s when trip-hop was still very much a thing (ask your grandparents). He then made his way into design and advertising, with some photography on the side. 

Based in North London, Plain Text is heavily influenced by skate culture, hip-hop, graphic design and a love of type and the written word.
